Sunset Marquees
1) All equipment hired remains the property of
Sunset Marquees.
2) It is admitted the person accepting the delivery
had the opportunity of inspecting the hired equipment
and confirms the equipment was received in good
condition.
3) Without prejudice, or the need to give notice
to the hirer, Sunset Marquees reserve the rights
to substitute similar equipment in lieu of a particular
item orded.
4) Every effort will be made to comply with any
reasonable directive relating to delivery and
collection arrangements. However, Sunset Marquees
does not accept liability for claims arising from
non-delivery or late collection of equipment or
failure to adhere to those specific instructions.
5) The hirer is fully responsible for all hired
equipment from the commencement of hire until
the equipment is returned in good order to Sunset
Marquees.
6) Sunset Marquees will accept no responsibility
for accident or damage resulting from use of the
equipment hired whatever the cause arising.
7) Under no circumstances should electrical appliances
be used without being correctly earthed and being
approved by Sunset Marquees.
8) Gas appliances must not be used unless approved
by Sunset Marquees and under no circumstances
below ground level.
9) In the event of a breakdown or unsatisfactory
working of hired equipment Sunset Marquees should
be notified of the fault. No attempt whatsoever
should be made to repair the item unless Sunset
Marquees have granted express permission to do
so.
10) If the hirer has any cause for complaint
concerning the conditions, suitability or performance
of equipment hired Sunset Marquees should be notified
immediately. No consideration for redress will
be given to a grievance once the equipment has
been accepted.
11) The hired equipment is solely intended to
be used and stored indoors unless specifically
designed and manufactured for the use outdoors.
If the equipment is used or stored outdoors the
hirer is fully responsible for damage caused by
the weather or any other reason.
12) All equipment with the exception of hired
linen will incur a cleaning charge if returned
in a dirty condition.
13) Equipment must not be returned damp or wet.
Damage resulting from mildew or any other stains
or burn marks will be charged at the full replacement
cost.
14) All containers supplied in the packaging
and transit of equipment must be returned in good
condition. A charge will be made for any loss
of damage of equipment supplied.
15) Prices Quoted are for 1-day (24 hours) hire
only unless otherwise agreed.
16) Hire charges are calculated from the date
the hire commences until the equipment is returned.
17) Hire charges do not include transport. Delivery
and collection rates and are to ground floor only
unless previously arranged to the contrary. An
additional charge will be imposed in respect of
waiting time should the or collection of hire.
18) In addition to the hire charges a refundable
deposit may be required. The deposit, less the
replacement cost of damages or losses, is returned
by post after authorised staff of Sunset Marquees
has checked the equipment. Where the deposit is
not sufficient to cover the replacement costs
the hirer is liable for the balance.
19) Payment in full is required to be made at
the commencement of the hire or in advance except
where account facilities exist. A delivery will
not commence until payment in full is received.
20) All cheques presented in payment must be
supported with a valid bank guarantee card. Before
any equipment is released to the hirer we shall
require seeing two means of identification, such
as a valid driving license, passport or recent
utility bill.
21) A charge may be levied if the hirer cancels
an order or fails to accept delivery of the equipment
for whatever the reason.
22) Adequate parking facilities are to be supplied
by the hirer, within reasonable distance of the
delivery address.
23) All discounts quoted are subject to acceptance
by Sunset Marquees and may not be used in conjunction
with any other offer. Failure to comply with the
terms & conditions of discount, i.e. Cash
discount, will result in the discount being withdrawn
24) If the bank for whatever reason returns a
cheque, which has been presented to us in payment
for hire, a fee will be charged.
25) We reserve the right to change any price
without the need to prior notice.
26) All work carried out is based on a Monday
to Friday working week inclusive. Any work required
at the weekends will be charged at the extra rate
unless otherwise agreed.
27) Extended hire charges are calculated on the
basis as follows: -
Weekend charged as 1-day hire.
2 - 3 days charged as 1.5 days hire.
4 - 6 days charged as 3 days hire.
7 - 9 days charged as 5 days hire.
